Arts of Armenia

Established in the summer of 2008 by the visionary Director of the Komitas Choir, Dn. Rubik Mailian, Arts of Armenia began with a clear mission: to teach the parish’s children the rich and diverse arts of Armenia. This initiative aimed to create a unique cultural exchange between Armenian educators and the next generation of Armenian-American youth, fostering a deep understanding and appreciation for Armenia’s visual and performing arts. Arts of Armenia is a vibrant week-long summer program sponsored by the St. John Armenian Church Komitas Choir. For further details, contact Dn. Rubik at To register, contact Lisa Mardigian at (586) 808-2202 or email

Looys Ministry

Since we established our Looys Ministry in 2022, our volunteers have reached out to many individuals who are alone and without contact of the St. John community. Some of our outreach includes preparing food, transportation services, visits, and phone calls to many of these individuals. One cannot measure the importance of reaching out to someone who is out of touch per say.

If you know of anyone who might appreciate such services, please contact Denise or George for more information.
